Freezin' for a Reason!

As many of you heard, Cassie Kadlec, our Technology Coach, recently participated in the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. The Polar Plunge is a cool event where supporters raise pledges and jump into frozen bodies of water. Money raised in the Polar Plunge provides funding for nearly 10,000 athletes with cognitive disabilities to reach for the gold. This year, the event raised over $60,000!
Thanks to many of you, Cassie raised over $1,100 for Special Olympics of southeastern Wisconsin and was one of the top individual “plungers” for fundraising. She got to meet a few of the athletes that this program helps support and learned that jumping into chilly Lake Michigan on a sunny March afternoon is definitely worth it!
